Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a device including a transceiver connected with a wireless communication network and a processor connected with the transceiver. The processor controls the transceiver such that a capability of the device to the wireless communication network. The monitoring capability is indicated from a multi-capability set. The capability set includes at least one pattern (X, Y) in a time slot of a wireless downlink control channel of the wireless communication network including a multi-span, and the X includes the smallest time separation of two span symbols of the time, and the Y includes the largest number of consecutive symbols with respect to each span of the time slot. Moreover, the transceiver is controlled such that downlink control information (DCI) can be received based on the capability set selected by the wireless communication network to transmit the DCI to the device.
