Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and system are meant for controlling power distribution in forward traffic channel of communication system where signal quality in pilot-signal channels transferred by plurality of base stations incorporated in active set of mobile station is compared with signal quality standard and comparison results are sent to system controller so as to show in this way pilot signals of mobile station exceeding the standard. Then system controller regulates power distribution in forward channel basing on comparison results. EFFECT: reduced total power of forward traffic channel conveyed during soft service transmission. 41 cl 15 dwg
