Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: physics; communication. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems particularly to methods of transmitting information in the control frame of an assigned control channel. According to the invention during transmission of control information control data are generated in the wireless communication system for several time intervals in the control frame of the assigned control channel using at least two different time interval formats. Each time interval contains several bits distributed from several types of control data. Each time interval format has a different bit distribution. Formatted control data in several time intervals of the control frame of the assigned control channel are transmitted from a mobile station to a base station. Control frames are received. Control data are separated and decoded. Data received over one or more channels are decoded using decoded control data. ^ EFFECT: improved methods and systems for transferring control information. ^ 49 cl 8 dwg
