FIELD: computer equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Device for processing streams of binary signals stored on information carriers which are invariable with time, binary signals stream comprises an image and metadata, wherein the metadata includes a first luminance value and a second luminance value; image is encoded by digital code values, which represent a normalized brightness valuebased at least in part on a functional model:; parametersandare given values; and the normalized valueof thevalues of the digital code is in range of 0≤≥1, wherein thevalues of the digital code exclude redundant code values.EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing visually perceptible coding errors.5 cl, 16 dwg, 4 tbl
