Abstract
Allocation of resources in a wireless network are described where resources are allocated for each channel having a second parameter above zero prior to another channel for transmission having a third parameter less than or equal to zero. The second parameter may be derived from a first channels first parameter and the third parameter is derived from a second channels first parameter.

Claim
1. A user equipment (UE) comprising:
circuitry configured to receive a first transmission including a first parameter for each of a plurality of channels and a second transmission with an allocation message for an uplink resource; a processor configured to allocate resources in response to the allocation message, wherein resources are allocated for each channel having a second parameter above zero prior to another channel for transmission having a third parameter less than or equal to zero; and wherein the second parameter is derived from a first channel's first parameter and the third parameter is derived from a second channel's first parameter.
2. The UE of claim 1 further comprising:
a transmitter further configured to transmit a third transmission including a plurality of indications of buffer occupancies associated with the plurality of channels.
3. The UE of claim 1, wherein the second parameter is derived by multiplying the first channel's first parameter with a fourth parameter and the third parameter is derived by multiplying the second channel's first parameter with the fourth parameter.
4. A network device comprising:
a transmitter configured to transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a first transmission including a first parameter for each of a plurality of channels ; the transmitter further configured to transmit a second transmission including an allocation message for an uplink resource; circuitry configured to receive a third transmission on the plurality of channels in response to the allocation message, wherein allocation of resources for each channel having a second parameter above zero is provided prior to another channel for transmission having a third parameter less than or equal to zero; and wherein the second parameter is derived from a first channel's first parameter and the third parameter is derived from a second channel's first parameter.
5. The network device of claim 4 further comprising:
the circuitry is further configured to receive a fourth transmission including a plurality of indications of buffer occupancies associated with the plurality of channels.
6. A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
receiving a first transmission including a first parameter for each of a plurality of channels and a second transmission including an allocation message for an uplink resource; allocating resources in response to the allocation message, wherein resources are allocated for each channel having a second parameter above zero prior to another channel for transmission having a third parameter less than or equal to zero; and wherein the second parameter is derived from a first channel's first parameter and the third parameter is derived from a second channel's first parameter.
7. The method of claim 6 further comprising:
transmitting a third transmission including a plurality of indications of buffer occupancies associated with the plurality of channels.
8. The method of claim 6, wherein the second parameter is derived by multiplying the first channel's first parameter with a fourth parameter and the third parameter is derived by multiplying the second channel's first parameter with the fourth parameter.
