Abstract  Abstract

A method (400) for relocating a serving network entity is presented. Before the relocation certain packet data information is transmitted between a terminal and a first network entity (901) at least via a second network entity (902) and via a third network entity (903). The first network entity (901) is connected to the second network entity (902) with a first path (911) and to a third network entity (903) with a second path (902), and the second network entity, which is before the relocation acting as the serving network entity, is connected to the third network entity, which is its peer network entity and after relocation acting as the serving network entity, with a third path (903). The first, second and third paths are separate paths. After the relocation said information is transmitted via the third network entity. The method is characterized in that the need for relocation of the serving network entity is communicated (403, 601) to the third network entity by the peer second network entity using the third path.
