Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are an access method and system user equipment and network side device the method comprising: the user equipment receives a first message carrying a second network access point identifier the second network access point being capable of diversion via an air interface to the first network where the user equipment resides; when the first message carries multiple second network access point identifiers the user equipment selects one from the multiple second network access points according to the first auxiliary information and accesses the selected second network access point. The technical solution in the embodiment of the present invention effectively shortens access delay and improves access efficiency thus effectively achieving diversion.
