Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a method and device for transmitting cell configuration information for addressing the problem of high overhead of configuration signaling during cell configuration when a terminal is configured for carrier aggregation. The particular solution of the method comprises: a network device determining at least one cell group and transmitting an RRC signaling to a terminal, wherein the RRC signaling comprises cell group configuration information of each cell group in the at least one cell group, and each cell group in the at least one cell group comprises at least two cells. The embodiments of the present application are used to reduce the overhead of configuration signaling during cell configuration.
