Abstract
The present application relates to the technical field of communication, and discloses a carrier switching and information sending method and apparatus, used for switching the uplink carrier used for implementing uplink communication between a terminal device and a network device from a first uplink carrier to a second uplink carrier. The method comprises: the terminal device determines a first carrier and a second carrier, the frequency of the first carrier and the second carrier being different; the terminal device determines that the working state on the first carrier is a first working state and the working state on the second carrier is a second working state, the first working state being the terminal device being able to send a first signal and the second working state being the terminal device being unable to send the first signal, the first signal comprising at least one of an uplink data signal and an uplink control signal; the terminal device receives first indication information from a network device; and, on the basis of the first indication information, the terminal device determines that the working state on the first carrier is the second working state and determines that the working state on the second carrier is the first working state.
