Abstract
A measurement configuration method and apparatus. The method comprises: a network device determining that a communication apparatus uses a first measurement mode to execute measurement, and sending first information to the communication apparatus, wherein the first information indicates first frequency points; the first frequency points are frequency points to be measured, which are configured by the network device with regard to the first measurement mode; the number of first frequency points is less than the number of second frequency points; and the second frequency points are frequency points to be measured, which are configured by the network device with regard to a second measurement mode. By means of the method, a network device can configure a communication apparatus to reduce the number of frequency points to be measured, such that the power consumption of the communication apparatus can be reduced.
