This Augmented SEP database enhances the existing ETSI database by allowing patent owners to
clarify which patents they believe are SEPs after the standard is stable and the patents are granted,
and then to provide more detailed information accordingly.
The ultimate goal of this enhanced information is to create a more transparent IPR environment to aid those implementing cellular standards, and, in turn,
help promote the development of new products and services for consumers.
The project is currently in alpha version.
