COMMON CHANNEL COMMUNICATION METHOD FOR A CDMA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Method for radiating channel, available channel and data speed information from a base station on a CDMA communication system. The base station receives information that indicates that a mobile station has data to be transmitted, through a preamble access channel. The base station transmits usage status information for the physical channels and information on the maximum available data speed on a status indicator channel. The mobile station receives the usage status information from the physical channels and the maximum available data speed information through the status indicator channel of a base station. The mobile station transmits an access preamble to the base station to request the allocation of a given physical channel depending on the usage status information and the maximum available data speed information.
