This invention claims a transmitting method and apparatus receiving method and apparatus for rank indication information wherein the transmitting method for rank indication information comprises following steps; loading the rank indication information in the physical uplink control channel for transmitting the dispatch request information and using the physical uplink control channel for transmitting the dispatch request information to transmit the rank indication information and dispatch request information when the rank indication information and dispatch request information is transmitted in the same sub-frame. It solves the problem that orthogonal damages of the codes between the physical uplink control channel caused by transmission of the RI information and SR information in the same symbol through this invention.
