The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for transmitting rank command information, and a method and apparatus for receiving rank command information. Among the methods for transmitting rank command information, the rank command information is transmitted when the rank command information and the scheduling request are transmitted in the same subframe. The rank command information and the scheduling request information are transmitted using the physical uplink control channel used in the physical uplink control channel used to transmit the scheduling request. The present invention solves the problem of code orthogonality between physical uplink control channels occurring when RI and SR information is transmitted in the same subframe, thereby ensuring the overall performance of the system.
