Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims a wireless communication apparatus and a radio communication method wherein channel estimation accuracy is improved while keeping the position of each bit in a frame even when a modulation system having a large modulation multiple value is used for a data symbol. In the wireless communication apparatus a generation unit generates a bit string by configuring 1 or 0 in at least one low-level bit in a plurality of bits that form at least one code element in the bit string; a modulation unit modulates the generated bit string using a single modulation mapper; and a transmission unit transmits the modulated bit string. Beside a reception unit in the radio communication apparatus receives the bit string in which 1 or 0 is configured in at least one low-level bit in a plurality of bits that form at least one code element in the bit string and modulates the received bit string; and a demodulation unit demodulates the received bit string using the single modulation mapper.
