Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims a method and a device for feeding back channel quality information (CQI) in a mobile station in the wireless communication system based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) and a method and a device for receiving the channel quality information (CQI) from the mobile station at the base station. The method for feeding back channel quality information (CQI) in a mobile station comprises steps as follows: calculating the broadband CQI of the whole frequency band at the mobile station in which the whole frequency band includes multiple sub frequency bands; calculating the sub frequency band CQI of at least one sub frequency band at the mobile station; and sending the sub frequency band CQI at the mobile station at the time different from the broadband CQI relative to the periodical CQI.
