An apparatus and method for Orthogonal Cover Code(OCC) generation and an apparatus and method for OCC mapping are disclosed in the present invention wherein the apparatus for OCC generation includes: a means for generating the first group of OCC sequences which is used to generate the first group of OCC sequences; a means for generating the second group of OCC sequences which is used to mirror the columns of the first group of OCC sequences to generate the second group of OCC sequences; a means for generating the third group of OCC sequences which is used to perform cyclic shift on the column vectors of the first group of OCC sequences to generate the third group of OCC sequences; and a means for generating the fourth group of OCC sequences which is used to mirror the columns of the third group of OCC sequences to generate the fourth group of OCC sequences.
