Abstract
The invention relates to an improved cell selection/reselection by user equipment resided in wireless area of public land mobile network wherein public land mobile network at least includes the first wireless cell comprising the first base station entity and the second wireless area of the second base station; said improved cell selection and/or cell reselection processing is related with uplink access process; the uplink chain access process is dependent on user equipment using the first base station entity and/or the second base station entity and random access channel and public land mobile network construction is connected with the attempt wherein the method comprises the following steps: in the first step during user equipment carrying out cell selection and/or cell reselection process result in the first wireless cell and the second wireless area are satisfied area selecting standard of result; the first wireless cell priority in the second wireless area; in the second step user equipment uses random access channel and the public land mobile network and the first base station entity establishing the connection attempt failure. Cell selection in the third step user equipment carrying out the modification and/or cell reselection process wherein although about the first base station entity condition of the second wireless base station entity and user device without change user device attempting to use the second base station entity and random access channel and public land mobile network building connection.
The invention relates to a method for an improved cell selection/ reselection handling by a user equipment that is trying to camp on a radio cell of a public land mobile network wherein the public land mobile network comprises at least a first radio cell with a first base station entity and a second radio cell with a second base station entity the improved cell selection/reselection handling being related to an uplink access procedure in dependency of attempts by the user equipment to get connected with the public land mobile network using a random access channel of the first base station entity and/or of the second base station entity wherein the method comprises the following steps: • -- in a first step the cell selection/reselection procedure is performed by the user equipment leading to the result that both the first radio cell and the second radio cell fulfill a cell selection criterion wherein the first radio cell is prioritized with regard to the second radio cell • -- in a second step the user equipment tries to get connected with the public land mobile network using the random access channel of the first base station entity which fails • -- in a third step a modified cell selection/reselection procedure is performed by the user equipment wherein - despite unchanged radio conditions regarding the first base station entity the second base station entity and the user equipment - the user equipment tries to get connected with the public land mobile network using a random access channel of the second base station entity.
