Abstract
The invention relates to a method for an improved cell selection/ reselection handling by a user equipment that is trying to camp on a radio cell of a public land mobile network wherein the public land mobile network comprises at least a first radio cell with a first base station entity and a second radio cell with a second base station entity the improved cell selection/reselection handling being related to an uplink access procedure in dependency of attempts by the user equipment to get connected with the public land mobile network using a random access channel of the first base station entity and/or of the second base station entity wherein the method comprises the following steps: • -- in a first step the cell selection/reselection procedure is performed by the user equipment leading to the result that both the first radio cell and the second radio cell fulfill a cell selection criterion wherein the first radio cell is prioritized with regard to the second radio cell • -- in a second step the user equipment tries to get connected with the public land mobile network using the random access channel of the first base station entity which fails • -- in a third step a modified cell selection/reselection procedure is performed by the user equipment wherein - despite unchanged radio conditions regarding the first base station entity the second base station entity and the user equipment - the user equipment tries to get connected with the public land mobile network using a random access channel of the second base station entity.
The invention relates are one method for improved handling of the selection/reselection of the cell by one of user equipment which is trying to camping in one of radio cell of one network of public land mobile communications where in the network of public land mobile communications comprising to the less one of first radio cell with one of first entity of base station and one of second radio cell with one of second entity of base station the improved handling of selection/reselection of the cell is related with one of procedure of uplink access depends on which of the attempts by the equipment of user for connecting with the network of public land mobile communications using one of random access channel of the first entity of of base station and/or of the second entity of of base station where the method is comprising the following stages: • in one first step the procedure of selection/reselection of the cell is made by the equipment of user leading to the result that both of the of the first cell and the second cell radio of radio met with one of selection criterion of cell where in the first cell of radio is prioritized with respect to the second cell of radio in one second stage the team of user attempts to connect with the network of public land mobile communications using the channel of random access of the first entity of of base station which fails is one third stage one modified procedure of selection/reselection of the cell is made by the equipment of user where in despite of to the changed conditions of radius with respect to the first entity of of base station the second entity of of base station and the equipment of user the equipment of user attempts to connect with the network of public land mobile communications using one channel of random access of the second entity of of base station.
