DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND DEVICE

Abstract

A data transmission method and device are disclosed, the method comprises: the source base station determines first data and a wireless air interface protocol sequence number of a data unit for carrying the first data, wherein the first data comprises: the source base station and the terminal are not confirmed by the terminal to correctly receive the data in the data transmission process; the source base station sends the first data and the wireless air interface protocol serial number to a target base station; wherein a core network to which the target base station is connected is different from a core network to which the source base station is connected. In the method, the data units of the first data and the first data sent by the source base station to the target base station carry wireless air interface serial numbers, and the wireless air interface serial numbers and the data packets correctly received before the terminal are sequenced according to the same rule sequence, so that the terminal can correctly sequence the received data packets after the target base station forwards the data to the terminal, and further ensure that all the received data packets are submitted to an upper layer in sequence.
