Communication method and related equipment

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a communication method and related equipment. The method comprises the following steps that the first base station sends a first message to the core network device, wherein the first message is used for requesting to obtain information of a network slice supported by at least one cell contained in the second base station; or, the first message is used forrequesting to obtain information of a network slice supported by at least one tracking area to which at least one cell included in the second base station belongs, and the information of the network slice comprises an identifier of the network slice and a priority of the network slice; the first base station receives a second message sent by the core network device, wherein the second message comprises information of a network slice supported by at least one tracking area to which at least one cell included in the second base station belongs. According to the method disclosed in the invention,the switching performance between the first base station and the second base station can be optimized.
