Abstract
The embodiments of the present application disclose a communication method and a related device. Said method comprises: a first base station sending a first message to a core network device, the first message being used to request for the acquisition of information concerning a network slice supported by at least one cell contained in a second base station, or the first message being used to request for the acquisition of information concerning a network slice supported by at least one tracking area to which at least one cell contained in the second base station belongs, the information concerning the network slice comprising the identifier of the network slice and the priority of the network slice; and the first base station receiving a second message sent by the core network device, the second message comprising the information concerning the network slice supported by the at least one tracking area to which the at least one cell contained in the second base station belongs. The present application facilitates the optimization of the switching performance between a first base station and a second base station.
