Abstract  Abstract

Methods and systems for common search space configuration and system information acquisition are described. As part of the methods and systems, a base station in wireless communication with a user equipment in an involving mode determines to configure a common search space through which the user equipment may receive system information blocks other than system information block type or a master information block. The base station transmits a first message comprising a common set of search space configuration parameters for the user equipment to receive another system information block. The base station transmits a second message according to the set of common search space configuration parameters, the second message comprising another system information block.
