Abstract  Abstract

A retransmission request signal producing unit (119) outputs based on an error detection result applied from an error detector unit (118) an ACK or NACK signal to a NACK signal counter unit (120). The NACK signal counter unit (120) counts for each communication mode the number of outputted NACK signals (i.e. the number of the times of data retransmission) until the retransmission request signal producing unit (119) outputs an ACK signal. A table rewriting unit (121) compares the retransmission times counted by the NACK signal counter unit (120) with a predetermined threshold value of retransmission times and rewrites based on that comparison result the contents of a communication mode table (102).
