A multi-carrier communication method and a multi-carrier communication apparatus for use in that method wherein when code blocks produced by an error correction encoding process are arranged not only in the time axis direction but also in the frequency axis direction so as to improve the error correction rate of multi-carrier signals such arrangement is adjusted on a code-block-by-code-block basis in accordance with the actual reception status of the multi-carrier signals.
