Abstract  Abstract

A method for operating a location apparatus (25-27) in a satellite positioning system (10) in a client/server architecture and a location apparatus (25-27) for use in the satellite positioning system. An example of the operations of the method and location apparatus include determining and storing one or more sets of pseudorange correction parameters each having a corresponding correction parameter time stamp receiving one or more transmissions from one or more mobile units (12) in which the transmissions include one or more sets of pseudoranges each having a corresponding pseudorange time stamp and selecting based on the correction parameter time stamps and the pseudorange time stamps at least one of the sets of correction parameters for correcting at least one of the sets of pseudoranges.
