Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of data transmission between a network node (GW) of a mobile communication network and a mobile terminal (UE) implemented by the network node following the reception of at least one packet of data (DL_P (d i </ sub>)) for the mobile terminal, the method comprising transmitting (S03) a warning message (Pgng) to the mobile terminal following receipt of said at least one a data packet and receiving (S04) in response to a service request (Serv_req) of the mobile terminal. In this method, after receiving the service request from the mobile terminal, when a parameter indicating a desire to use signaling messages has been received in a request from the mobile terminal, the data to be transmitted is inserted (S4 ) in at least one signaling message (MSG (di)) and said at least one signaling message is transmitted (S5) to the mobile terminal. The present invention also relates to a network node for implementing such a method, as well as to a system comprising such a network node, a terminal and a corresponding computer program.
