Abstract  Abstract

Method for transmitting a reference signal sequence using a Zadoff-Chu, ZC sequence, in a transmission part, the method comprising: acquiring a base sequence from a plurality of base sequences of variable length, in which the plurality of base sequences is divided into groups, wherein any of the plurality of base frequencies is generated by a cyclic extension of a sequence of ZC having a length, in which each of the groups comprises at least one base sequence of each length, in which said lengths correspond to one or several resource block sizes, and in which a sequence group index, u, is determined based on a cell of the transmitting part, and in which an index root, q , of the sequence of ZC is given by the use of u, and the; apply a cyclic shift corresponding to a cyclic variable shift value for the acquired base sequence to generate the reference signal sequence; and transmitting the reference signal sequence to a receiving party.
