Abstract  Abstract

A method for hiding frame erasures caused by frames of an encoded sound signal deleted during transmission from an encoder (700) to a decoder (300) and for recovering the decoder (300) after frame erasures, the procedure comprising: in the encoder (700), the determination (707) of the concealment / recovery parameters, including at least phase information related to the frames of the encoded sound signal, in which the phase information comprises a pulse position (Γq ) glottic in each frame of the encoded sound signal, determined by measuring (707) the glottic pulse (Γq) as a pulse of maximum amplitude in a predetermined fundamental frequency cycle of the frame of the encoded sound signal and determining (707) the position of the pulse of maximum amplitude; transmit (213) to the decoder (300) the concealment / recovery parameters determined in the encoder (700); and in the decoder (300), perform a frame erase concealment in response to the received concealment / recovery parameters, in which the frame erase concealment comprises resynchronizing (900), in response to the received phase information, the frames whose deletion is hidden with the corresponding frames of the sound signal encoded in the encoder (700); characterized in that that resynchronization of a frame whose deletion is hidden with a corresponding frame of the encoded sound signal comprises: decoding (910) the position of the glottic pulse (Γq) of said frame of the encoded sound signal; determining (912), in the frame whose deletion is hidden, a position of a pulse of maximum amplitude closer to the position of said glottic pulse (Γq) of said corresponding frame of said encoded sound signal; and align (920) the position of the maximum amplitude set in the frame whose deletion is hidden with the position of the glottic pulse (Γq) of the corresponding frame of the encoded sound signal.
