Abstract  Abstract

A method to avoid contexts of the protocol of hanging data packets in a network of the general packet broadcasting service, the method comprising: including (210) a period of expiration of time in a request message (120) to create a context of the data packet protocol; transmitting (220) the request message (120) of a first support node (110) of the general packet broadcasting service to a second support node (130) of the general packet broadcasting service; receive (230) the request message (120) on the second support node (130) of the general packet broadcasting service; and transmitting (240) a response message (140) from the second node (130) supporting the general packet broadcasting service to the first node (110) supporting the general packet broadcasting service, in which the second node ( 130) support of the general packet broadcasting service creates the context of the data packet protocol within the expiration period of time included in the request message (120), in which the reply message (140) informs the first support node (110) of the general packet broadcasting service from which the creation of the context of the packet data protocol has been aborted if the second support node (130) of the general packet broadcasting service is unable to create the context of the data packet protocol within the expiration period included in the request message (120).
