Abstract  Abstract

A method for randomizing interference experienced by a shared control channel, transmitted using control channel transmission resources from a base station, wherein said shared control channel comprises control channel elements CCE1 to CCEn, said procedure characterized by: grouping (601) the control channel elements, CCE1 to CCEn, in a first order of control channel symbol groups, in which the control channel symbol groups are numbered sequentially within a block of resources (40, 50) of said control channel transmission resources; determining (602) a number of positions of available symbol groups of said control channel transmission resources; adding symbol groups (603) comprising dummy values or zeros to the first order of control channel symbol groups, so that said first order of symbol groups is essentially equal to said number of available symbol group positions ; interlacing (604) the first order of the control channel symbol groups, resulting in a second order of said control channel symbol groups; cyclically shift (605) said second order; and correlating (606) the second order cyclically shifted from groups of control channel symbols to said positions of groups of control channel transmission symbols.
