A method (700) performed by a priority manipulation module (110, 210) in a communication network (100, 200), the method comprising: - receiving (S1) a request for configuration or reconfiguration of an associated priority rule to a data flow in the communication system, the request comprising a priority sharing identifier, - calculate (S2) the priority parameters of the communication system based on the request received, - identify (S3) other data flows in the communication system that are associated with the priority sharing identifier, and - determining (S4) a shared priority parameter based on the configuration or reconfiguration request and an existing priority configuration of any other data streams, identified in the communication system, associated with said priority sharing identifier.
