Abstract
To provide a system and method for improved priority handling of data flows in a communications system.SOLUTION: A priority handling module in a communication network receives a request for configuration or re-configuration of priority associated with a data flow S1. Priority parameters of a communication system are calculated based on the request S2. Other data flows having the same priority sharing identifier are identified if the priority is shared S3. A shared priority value is determined which is also associated with other identified data flows having the same priority sharing identifier S4. A current priority configuration is stored S5. The priority configuration is updated for the identified data flows S6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
