Abstract  Abstract

The invention relates to a process tending to dynamic division of the radio capacity in a TDMA system dynamically between radio packet service and circuit switched service. According to the invention, a number of time interval bases are reserved for packet radio service and the remains are reserved for circuit switched service. As the packet radio service traffic requirement increases, information regarding this is obtained either by a request from a mobile station or by measuring traffic at the base transceiver station. This information is used as a criterion in allocating multiple time intervals for radio packet service.
