Abstract  Abstract

Systems and methods are described that facilitate searching for cells in a wireless communication environment. The mobile device can use a searcher that detects timing information respectively associated with the PSC and the cell and determines a cell having the highest correlation. This searcher determines the SSC with the highest correlation in order to establish communication between the desired cell and the mobile device, and the desired phase information, CP length, and / or desired signal with the strongest signal. SSCs can be detected that can include detecting other information to facilitate cell identification. The PSCs associated with each cell can take different positions in the symbol sequence, and the SSCs can be phase shifted at different angles to facilitate cell detection and identification. Note that the PSC can be used as a phase reference by the associated SSC. (Selection) Figure 7
