Abstract  Abstract

Systems and methods are described that facilitate searching for a cell in a wireless communication environment. The mobile device may use a searcher capable of detecting PSCs and timing information associated with the cells, respectively, to determine the cell with the largest correlation. The searcher may detect the SSCs and have the largest correlation, the SSC, CP length, and / or other, to facilitate identifying the desired cell with the strongest signal to establish communication between the mobile device and the desired cell. Determining the associated phase information may include determining the information.

The PSCs associated with each of the cells may have different positions within the symbol sequences, and the SSCs may each be phase shifted at different angles to facilitate detection and identification of the cell (s), where the PSCs are associated with the associated SSCs. It can be used as a phase reference.
