Abstract
An apparatus (100) for generating a spectral replacement value of an audio signal is provided. The apparatus (100) includes a buffer unit (110) for storing prior spectral values for previously received error-free audio frames. The apparatus (100) further includes a hidden frame generator (120) that generates a spectral replacement value if the current audio frame is incompletely received or contains an error. The previously received error-free audio frame includes filter information, and the filter information is associated with a filter stability value indicating the stability of the prediction filter. The hidden frame generation unit (120) is configured to generate a spectrum replacement value based on the preceding spectrum value and the filter stability value. (Selection) Figure 1
