Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate the feature of a reference signal transmitted from a user terminal to strengthen a function.

SOLUTION: User equipment (UE) is configured to apply OCC (Orthogonal Covering Codes) generated from a CAZAC (Constant Amplitude Zero Automatic-Correlation) sequence to the transmission of a reference signal (RS) to enable the application of the OCC so that a communication system can execute such sequence hopping. Thus a method and an apparatus for separating the application of the sequence hopping between data channel transmission and control channel transmission is provided.
