Abstract  Abstract

Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting and receiving references signals. A method includes receiving a first parameter which is a cell specific parameter; receiving a second parameter which is a UE specific parameter; acquiring a reference signal for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) based on the second parameter; and transmitting the reference signal on the PUSCH. Group sequence hopping is not applied to acquire the reference signal if the first parameter indicates that the group sequence hopping is enabled and the second parameter indicates that the group sequence hopping is disabled and the group sequence hopping includes hopping among different groups.
