Abstract
A method of scrambling a reference signal, and an apparatus and user equipment using the method are provided. In this method, multiple layers of reference signals allocated on predetermined radio resources of multiple layers of resource blocks having the same time and frequency resources are scrambled. The method includes an orthogonalization step of selectively multiplying each layer of the reference signal by one of a plurality of orthogonal cover codes (OCC) having the same length, the first layer of the reference signal The OCC multiplied with respect to can be configured differently than the OCC multiplied with respect to other layers of the reference signal, the orthogonalization step and the multiplication with respect to each of the other layers of the reference signal. A scrambling step of multiplying all of the symbols obtained from the generated OCC by a symbol common scrambling sequence, wherein the symbol common scrambling sequence can be different from each other for reference signals multiplied by the same OCC.
