Abstract
The SUCI calculation indicator calculates SUCI in USIM to ensure that the Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) section of the user device (UE) calculates the subscription concealment identifier (SUC) when intended. If set to a value that indicates that it should, the network node sets unknown proprietary information in the mobile device (ME) section of the UE as necessary for SUCI calculations. USIM facilitates the calculation of SUCI in the ME part of the UE only if the SUCI calculation indicator is set to a value that indicates that SUCI should be calculated in ME. When the SUCI calculation indicator is set to a value indicating that SUCI should be calculated in USIM, the ME part deletes the locally stored information necessary for SUCI calculation.
