Abstract
In order to ensure that the SUCI (Subscription Concealed Identifier), when intended, is calculated in the Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) portion of the user equipment (UE), the SUCI-calculation-indicator is used, and the SUCI is the mobile equipment (ME) of the UE. When the SUCI is set from a value indicating what should be calculated in the part to a value indicating what should be calculated in USIM, the network node sets exclusive information, and as the exclusive information is required for the calculation of SUCI, It is not known to the mobile equipment (ME) part of the UE. The USIM facilitates the calculation of SUCI in the mobile equipment (ME) portion of the UE only when the SUCI-calculation-indicator is set to a value indicating that SUCI should be calculated in the ME. When the SUCI-calculation-indicator is set to a value indicating that SUCI should be calculated in USIM, the ME part deletes any locally stored information required for the calculation of SUCI.
