Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a radio-frequency receiver having a plurality of antennas and a local oscillator and employing antenna diversity.
CONSTITUTION: Individual error signals Ph carr1 and Pherr2 are obtained respectively from signals fcarr1 and fcarr2 received by a plurality of antennas 11 12. Then the error signals Pherr1 and Pherr2 are coupled so as to obtain a coupled error signal Pherrtot with higher reliability than that of either of the error signals Pherr1 and Pherr2 used singly. Finally an automatic frequency control circuit 31 is controlled by using the coupled error signal Pherr1 Since the effect of fading onto the input signal Pherrtot to the automatic frequency control circuit 31 is reduced the performance of the automatic frequency control circuit 31 is enhanced and the quality of radio wave reception is improved.
