Abstract  Abstract

A wireless communication apparatus capable of improving NACK error rate characteristics. In this apparatus, the scrambling unit (214) multiplies the modulated response signal by a scrambling code of “1” or “−1”, and responds on the cyclic shift axis by multiplication of the scrambling code “−1”. The constellation is inverted for each signal, the spreading unit (215) first spreads the response signal with the ZAC sequence set by the control unit (209), and the spreading unit (218) sends the response signal after the first spreading. Is secondarily spread with a blockwise spreading code sequence set by the control unit (209).
