Abstract
In one example, aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method of coding video data, the method generally comprising determining prediction information for a block of video data, Wherein the prediction information for the block is based on prediction information from one or more other blocks in the coded unit, but the prediction information for the block in the coded unit is an arbitrary one of the blocks in the coded unit, Is not based on the prediction information from the uppermost row of the block. The method also generally includes coding the block based on the determined prediction information.
