Abstract
In one example, aspects of this disclosure relate to a method of coding video data, the method generally comprising determining prediction information for a block of video data, wherein the block is coding of video data. Included in a coded unit and placed below the top row of upper neighboring blocks in a coded unit, the prediction information for the block is based on prediction information from one or more other blocks in the coded unit, but any of the blocks in the coded unit It is not based on prediction information from the top row of. The method also generally includes coding the block based on the determined prediction information.
