Abstract  Abstract

A multi-point HSDPA system may provide switching-based scheduling from one of the cells based on the channel conditions of each of the cells, as reported by the UE, so that a single receive antenna UE RTI ID = 0.0 > downlink < / RTI > aggregation from multiple cells. For example, the UE may monitor the HS-SCCH from both cells so that it can decode the HS-DSCH in any particular TTI where data is scheduled. The UE may further transmit a CQI for each of the cells such that scheduling decisions between the cells in each TTI can be performed dynamically to provide downlink packets from the better ones of the cells.
