Abstract
A mobile station that is capable of communicating over an uplink transmission to at least one base station in a multiple-input multiple-output wireless network may map codewords to a plurality of layers. The mobile station includes a plurality of transmit antennas and a controller coupled to the plurality of transmit antennas. The control unit is configured to map at least one code word to a plurality of layers. The code word includes a plurality of code blocks. The controller generates the plurality of code blocks from the transmission block, and the number of generated code blocks is an integral multiple of the number of the plurality of layers.
