Abstract
A mobile station capable of communicating via uplink transmissions to at least one base station in a multiple input multiple output wireless network may map codewords to a plurality of layers. The mobile station includes a plurality of transmit antennas and a control unit coupled to the plurality of transmit antennas. The controller is configured to map at least one codeword to a plurality of layers. The codeword includes a plurality of code blocks. The control unit is configured to generate the plurality of code blocks from a transmission block, such that the number of generated code blocks is an integer multiple of the number of the plurality of layers.
