PURPOSE: A method for formatting a signal in a mobile communication system is provided to support a function to be performed by a peer-to-peer communication and a MAC sub layer to the MAC sub layer. CONSTITUTION: In a method for formatting a signal in a mobile communication system which adds an MAC header to data at sending the data between a mobile station and a network and sends the data thus added, the MAC header consists of a mobile identifier region for an identification in an use band, an MAC-SAP(service access point) identifier region for the header to multiplex logical channels of the added data, an RLC-Us identifier region for multiplexing a radio link control(RLC) of a multiple user plan, a length region of an MAC-SDU(service data unit) for transferring data, an extension region of MAC-SDU for transferring data, and a frame format identifier region for information and contention resolution of a top layer.
